Combat System
Valar Revolution uses the classic Lineage II real-time combat system with skill chains, cooldowns, and open-world PvP. Master the mechanics and dominate the battlefield.
Auto-Attack & Skills
Every class has a set of active and passive skills. Auto-attack deals basic damage while skills are chained for combos. Skills consume MP and have individual cooldowns. Managing your MP is the key to sustained combat.
- Use skills between auto-attack swings for maximum DPS
- Keep HP/MP potions on quick slots
- Toggle auto-attack with keyboard shortcuts
PvP & Karma System
Open-world PvP is always available. Attacking another player raises your PK count and turns you red (Chaotic). Red players can be killed by anyone without penalty — and may drop equipped items upon death.
- PK count lowers by completing quests
- Red players can be purged at Karma altars
- PvP kills give PvP points for rankings
Buffs & Debuffs
Support classes (Bishops, Prophets, Elders) apply powerful buffs that increase stats significantly. Debuffs from dark magic can slow, root, or poison enemies. Party buffs are essential for high-level content.
- Buff slots are limited — prioritize key buffs
- Debuffs can be resisted based on mental stat
- Prophet buffs last up to 20 minutes
Party System
Groups of up to 9 players can form a party. EXP and drops are shared. The party leader sets the loot distribution method. Balanced parties (tank, healer, DPS) level significantly faster than solo play.
- Always bring a Bishop for long sessions
- Tanks hold aggro — let them engage first
- Command Channel allows multiple parties in raids
Death & Resurrection
Death causes EXP loss (4% at high levels). Bishops can cast Resurrection to restore a portion of lost EXP. Players also drop some items when killed as a red/chaotic character.
- Equip a Scroll of Escape for emergencies
- Bishops reduce EXP loss with full resurrection
- Safe zones in towns prevent PvP
Enchanting & Stats
Weapons and armor can be enchanted using Scrolls of Enchant. Each enchant level increases stats. Failure at +4 and beyond destroys the item. Safe enchant scrolls exist for guaranteed success up to +3.
- Never enchant your only weapon past +4 unsafely
- +4 weapons glow — visible to other players
- +16 is the theoretical maximum for weapons
